Learning DialogueDuring 90s work on conceptual change in science, also work at Leeds – DevelopedDialogue Modelling work bench – CoLLeGE argumentative pedagogies for conceptual change, more recently work.  InterLoc – easily deployable digitaldialogue games tools. Theoretical frameworks Vygitsky, dialectic, dialogic –Ravenscroft, Wegerif and Hartley 2007

Why now? Learners inthe ‘social web’ – participation, communication and collaboration

Social web – evengreater emphasis on learning dialogue, but what are we internalising?

How address lack ofcriticality and dumbing down of intellect on the web?

So what are wedesigning for? New spaces or ecosystems for learning – virtual, immersive,mixed-reality, mobile, blended, socio-cognitive tools, improved semantic backends, pedagogies that operationalise emerging technologies – such as theDigital Dialogue Games, Deep learning design – cf instructional design
